White Bread Recipe

This White Bread Recipe is SUPER easy to make, my nephew helped and he loved it!
* If you don’t have a KitchenAid Mixer you can always make this recipe using your hands, Its just not gonna be as easy but it will work.
INGREDIENTS:
– 1 egg
– 15g of butter at room temperature (1 tablespoon)
– 50g of sugar (1/4 cup)
– 400g of flour (2 1/2 cup)
– pinch of salt
– 180 ml of warm milk at around 110F (3/4 cup)
– 1 egg yolk and 2 tablespoons of strong brewed coffee (to brush the bread)
– 30g of fresh yeast (I used 10g of dry yeast which is about 1 1/2 package 10g total of dry yeast)
HOW TO MAKE IT:
Lets start pouring the warm milk into your KitchenAid Mixer bowl and sprinkling the yeast and the sugar, whisk it to combine all ingredients and let it sit there for about 10 minutes until it foams to double the size.
Now whisk it to combine everything and with the hook attachment on your KitchenAid Mixer start mixing it on medium speed adding the egg, salt and butter until all combined.
Turn down to speed 2 on your Mixer and start adding the flour and let your KitchenAid Mixer do all the work for you, this is a super easy to make dough but sometimes you have to turn off the mixer and lift the hook and drop it again right in the middle of the dough because the dough is hard and the hook cant get through it.
After you see your dough is nice and smooth you can turn off the Mixer and sprinkle flour over a surface and shape your dough into a ball. Sprinkle a little flour on a clean bowl and sit your dough there but make sure you cover it with plastic wrap. Now you need to let it sit there until it doubles size which is about 20 minutes. (I used my warm oven again for this because it was a cold day).
Grease your baking sheet with butter on bottom and sides and take a piece of parchment paper and cover the sides only of your baking sheet (this will help to hold and shape the bread when it rises) and reserve.
After your dough doubled size take it off the bowl and shape it into a bread loaf and to the baking sheet it goes. Mix the egg yolk and the coffee and brush it over the top of the bread, this will give it a nice color. Let it sit for another 20 minutes. ( I used the microwave at this time to keep my bread in a dry place but make sure you do not turn on the microwave just use it as storage ).
Preheat your oven to 350F.
After your bread has double size again on the baking sheet its time to bake.
Bake it for around 30 minutes.
After ready take off the parchment paper from around your bread and let it sit and cool down over a clean kitchen Towel or wire rack.
I have to say this was the easiest and tastiest white bread I have done in a while, because the dough doesn’t need any more flour than the recipe calls for and the kneading is SUPER easy using your KitchenAid Mixer.
Just brush a little butter or jam and that’s it. Ummmmmmmm
